President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Akorda reports.
The Head of State expressed gratitude to Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani for the invitation to attend the Doha Forum, highlighting that this dialogue platform offers a unique opportunity for open discussions on the most pressing global issues.
Tokayev commended the personal contribution of the Qatari Amir to strengthening the bilateral relationship, that has reached the level of strategic partnership.
During the meeting, special attention was placed to joint and quality implementation of the agreements on investment projects in banking, telecommunication, energy, agriculture and health spheres.
The Kazakh leader expressed confidence that the joint projects with the participation of Qatari business will contribute to the development of both countries.
In turn, Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani stressed that Astana and Doha have established long-term strategic cooperation relations.
According to him, the countries’ governments carry out systemic work to implement the high-level agreements.
Tokayev and Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani agreed that the active high-level political dialogue will further contribute to qualitative deepening of Kazakh-Qatari relations.
