Tashkent ( WNAM MONITORING): The international tourism center project Sea Breeze Uzbekistan, located on the shores of Charvak in the Bostanlyk district of Tashkent region, is valued at US$10 billion. President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced this during a meeting on 20 December.
It was confirmed that an agreement has been reached to commence construction of the complex.
On December 16, Azerbaijani entrepreneur Emin Agalarov presented the project to the President of Uzbekistan. The plan includes recreational zones, beaches, sports facilities, hotels, residential complexes, and other structures covering an area of 500 to 700 hectares. The development also includes a bridge over the bay, schools, a water park, leisure parks, facilities for water and winter sports, and more.
The tourist center will span both shores of the Charvak Reservoir. The southern part will stretch along the cape near the village of Yusufkhona, while the northern section will be situated between the villages of Yakkatut and Boladala.
A bridge connecting the two parts of Sea Breeze Uzbekistan will be at least 1 km long. The area will also feature a walnut grove where villas are planned to be built, according to preliminary images.
Additionally, above the “Charvak Oromgokhi” (Pyramids) recreational zone along the reservoir, an 18-hole golf course is set to be developed.
President Mirziyoyev noted the successful operation of the Sea Breeze project in Azerbaijan and emphasized that Uzbekistan has the expertise to launch similar large-scale projects.
