WEB DESK: Ambassador of Uzbekistan Alisher Tukhtayev met with the head of one of the largest pharmaceutical chains in Pakistan D.Watson Group, Chairman of the non-profit organization Pakistan Cultural Forum, Zafar Bakhtawari.
At the meeting, issues of cooperation in pharmaceuticals, the creation of joint projects, including commercial activities, and the organization of cultural and humanitarian events were discussed.
Measures to provide consumers with affordable medicines were discussed, including proposals to increase the level of localization of production and meet the needs of the domestic market through domestic pharmaceuticals.
It was decided to organize a visit of the delegation of the D. Watson Group to Uzbekistan in February 2025 to establish cooperation in pharmaceuticals and familiarize themselves with the conditions created for foreign entrepreneurs.
The Chairman of the Pakistan Cultural Forum stressed the importance of cultural ties in strengthening relations between Pakistan and Uzbekistan.
Following the dialogue, the parties’ action plan for 2025 included points on close cooperation in the cultural exchanges, in particular, on the creation of student exchange programs and the organization of joint events.
