WNAM MONITORING: President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on the digital system, where work plans for the main sectors of the economy for 2025 were approved. As reported by TDH, special attention in the plans is paid to the development of the digital economy, ensuring macroeconomic stability and modernization of key sectors.
According to the presented documents, intensive development of fields is planned in the oil and gas sector, including the largest gas field “Galkynysh”, as well as the construction of a section of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline. In the agricultural sector, the emphasis is on the development of cotton growing, grain growing and livestock farming with the introduction of modern technologies.
The construction and industrial complex will focus on the construction of socio-cultural facilities and the modernization of transport infrastructure. In the trade sector, the priority will be to ensure commodity abundance and price stability in the domestic market.
In addition, the government approved the National Action Plan to Combat Human Trafficking for 2025-2029. It was also noted at the meeting that 2025 will be marked by the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality and declared the “International Year of Peace and Trust”.
