Tashkent ( WNAM MONITORING): The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Pakistan Alisher Tukhtaev participated in a business forum with representatives from the Pakistan Tanners Association (PTA).
The forum discussed prospects for joint projects in the leather processing and production of leather goods (such as clothing, shoes, gloves, etc.). The Ambassador emphasized the significant potential of the industry for expanding mutual trade.
PTA members expressed their willingness to cooperate with Uzbek organizations, exchange expertise, and relocate part of their production capacities to Uzbekistan. The Pakistani side was invited to visit Uzbekistan in the second quarter of 2025 to discuss specific projects.
PTA President Hamid Arshad Zahoor and Vice President Danish Aman highlighted the importance of participating in international exhibitions to foster collaboration.
Pakistani representatives also invited “Uzcharmsanoat” to the “Pakistan Mega Leather Show” in Lahore, which will be held from 26 to 28 January.
