WNAM REPORT: Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to Moscow Esen Aidogdyev participated in the traditional meeting of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov with ambassadors of the CIS member states, where the results of cooperation for 2024 and plans for the coming period were discussed. This was reported by the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The meeting, which was also attended by the heads of diplomatic missions of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and the Secretary General of the Commonwealth Sergei Lebedev, discussed the results of Russia’s chairmanship of the CIS.
The diplomats discussed key tasks for 2025, declared the Year of the 80th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The main focus was on strengthening foreign policy coordination, expanding trade and economic cooperation, and interaction in the security sphere.
During the meeting, an exchange of views on current global and regional issues took place. The participants also expressed support for the chairmanship of the Republic of Tajikistan in the CIS this year.
