WNAM REPORT: President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Resolution ordering the planting of deciduous, coniferous, fruit trees and grapes in 2025.
According to the document, ministries and departments, the hyakimliks of the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag and other institutions are required to plant 1.5 million seedlings, and the other 1.5 million seedlings are to be planted by the hyakimliks of the velayats.
“Ministries, departments, hyakimliks of velayats, the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag are ordered to ensure the planting of seedlings of fruit trees and grapes by varieties on separately allocated land plots, watering seedlings of deciduous, coniferous, fruit trees and grapes using drip irrigation,” the report says.
The document also instructs the Ministry of Environmental Protection to provide ministries, departments, regional administrations, the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag with grape seedlings and three-year-old tree seedlings in sufficient quantities and to monitor the planting and care of them.
