WNAM MONITORING: A grand event dedicated to the 542nd anniversary of the great poet, statesman, and public figure Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur’s birth was held at the Alley of Litterateurs in Tashkent.
The event was attended by representatives of ministries and agencies, public organizations, educators, scholars, writers, poets, and students.
First Deputy Chairman of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan, Minhajiddin Mirzo, noted that spring begins in February in Uzbekistan, as this month marks the birth of two outstanding figures of national literature – Alisher Navoi and Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur.
At the event, Deputy Chairman of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan and renowned poetess Farida Afruz noted that respect and honor for women, love and loyalty, and a call for kindness are central to Babur’s creative works and activities.
A literary and artistic program was presented with the participation of students from the University of Public Security of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the University of World Economy and Diplomacy. A book and art exhibition was organized, and poems and ghazals by the great poet were recited. Flowers were laid at the monument.
Throughout the day, meetings and events dedicated to the works of Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur continued at the alley.
