WNAM MONITORING: The “smart” city of Arkadag hosted a ceremony on Thursday to present the Excellence Certificate from Hangzhou Dianzi University of the People’s Republic of China. This certificate confirms the high level of environmental cleanliness in the new city and marks another instance of international recognition for its innovative architectural solutions, as reported by the official media of Turkmenistan.
Representatives from the city administration, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of China to Turkmenistan, esteemed elders, and youth attended the event.
In the foyer of the main building of the International Horse Breeding Academy named after Aba Annayev, organizers set up a thematic exhibition that showcased the international certificates of Arkadag City, along with publications by the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
Speakers at the ceremony emphasized that the urban development project, which combines advanced technologies with national traditions, serves as a model for modern sustainable development. They focused on the successful implementation of digital solutions in the city’s infrastructure.
Chinese Ambassador Qian Naicheng highlighted Turkmenistan’s contributions to the development of “smart” cities and presented the Excellence Certificate to Deryageldi Orazov, Chairman of the State Committee for the Construction of Arkadag City under the President of Turkmenistan.
During the ceremony, officials announced the transfer of 65 hectares of land from Ashgabat to the administrative territory of Arkadag City.
In conclusion, participants expressed their gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and National Leader of the Turkmen People Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for their commitment to infrastructure development and for ensuring a high standard of living for the population.
