WNAM REPORT: Turkmenistan widely celebrated the National Spring Holiday – International Day of Novruz.
According to tradition, the main celebrations on this day took place at the Nowruz ýaýlasy site in the Ak Bugday etrap of the Ahal velayat,
Bright colors were added to the palette of the holiday by colorful song-musical and theatrical compositions, personifying prosperity and well-being, the indestructible unity and cohesion of the Turkmen people, and the confident movement of the country forward.
The folklore and ethnographic performances and artist performances brought to life the history and customs of Novruz Bayram from ancient times to the present day.
In the improvised village with its elegant yurts spread out on Nowruz ýaýlasy, one can get a clear idea of the way of life of the Turkmen people, their wise family traditions and rituals, and the peculiarities of rural life.

The culmination of the celebration at “Nowruz ýaýlasy” was a concert of masters of art of Turkmenistan.
Celebrations in honor of the National Spring Festival on this day took place in front of “Türkmeniň ak öýi” in all regions of the country, as well as in the city of Arkadag.
As is known, in 2009, Novruz was included in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. In 2010, at the 64th session of the UN General Assembly, under the agenda item “Culture of Peace”, a Resolution was adopted on the celebration of International Novruz Day on March 21. This became evidence of recognition of the significance and role of this wonderful holiday in strengthening friendly relations and solidarity between peoples.Thus, Novruz is an excellent example of fruitful intercultural dialogue, embodying the inextricable connection of times and the continuity of generations, the inviolability of universal humanistic values.
