WNAM Monitoring: The film “The Flower of Kashgar” premiere took place at the Alisher Navoi Cinema Palace in Tashkent.
The screening was organized by the Embassy of China in Uzbekistan, the Uzbekistan Cinematography Agency, the China Movie Channel Program Center with the active support of the Press Service of the People’s Government of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of the People’s Republic of China and the Xinjiang branch of the China News Service.
The film is based on a romantic love story that overcomes all obstacles and differences that stand in its way. The bright feeling that originated in Shenzhen, one of the most developed cities in southeast China, will ignite with renewed vigor in Kashgar, a city in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of the People’s Republic of China, the pearl of the Silk Road in the northwest of the country. The two cities are separated by over 5,000 kilometers, but no distance will prevent loving hearts from getting closer.
“In recent years, under the strategic leadership of China’s President Xi Jinping and the respected President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Uzbekistan continues to move forward confidently. Cooperation to connect the Belt and Road initiative and build a New Uzbekistan is yielding fruitful results, and cultural and humanitarian ties are significantly deepening”, said the Ambassador of China to Uzbekistan Yu Jun.
“‘The Flower of Kashgar’ is a worthy film about true love and affection. I think our viewers will like it. It should be noted that several films produced by the People’s Republic of China were shown at the Tashkent International Film Festival, so film lovers of our country are well acquainted with Chinese cinema. Getting to know the cultures of the two peoples brings the countries closer together, strengthening and developing further cooperation”, Bakhodir Adilov, Director General of Uzbekfilm Concern, said.
The film vividly reflects Xinjiang’s architecture, historical monuments, landscapes, cuisine, the region’s culture, and people’s lives. It shows the friendship of people in modern China. “The Flower of Kashgar” has been dubbed into Uzbek.
