WNAM MONITORING: The opening ceremony of the minifootball World Cup was held in Baku.
Orkhan Mammadov, President of the Azerbaijan Minifootball Federation (AMF), Filip Juda, President of the World Mini-football Federation and other officials attended the ceremony.
First, the National Anthem of Azerbaijan was played.
Then, interesting shows under the sounds of various music delighted the spectators gathered in the arena. The famous French freestyler, world champion in this sport, Arnaud Garnier, attracted attention with his stage performance. Then, the famous Turkish singer Aleyna Tilki and People’s Artist of Azerbaijan Aygun Kazimova performed with their songs.
Five matches have already been played in the tournament. France defeated Chad (1:0), Portugal defeated Bulgaria (3:1), England defeated Ukraine (4:0), and Slovakia defeated India (15:0), meanwhile, Hungary and Türkiye agreed to a 1:1 draw.
The Azerbaijani national team, which is in Group A, will face Bahrain at 08:30 pm Baku time (GMT+4).
The World Cup will conclude on June 1.
