ISLAMABAD (WNAM REPORT) Mian Akram Farid, former Vice President of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) and former President of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI), and a prominent businessman, extended his felicitations to the nation on Youm-e-Takbeer. He stated that under the dynamic leadership of Field Marshal General Asim Munir, Pakistan has now become invincible.
Mian Akram Farid reminisced about the historic day of May 28, 1998, when the then Prime Minister,  Nawaz Sharif, defying immense international pressure and lucrative offers of economic aid, ordered nuclear tests at Chagai. This decisive action sent an unequivocal message to India and the entire world that Pakistan would never compromise on its sovereignty and defense.
He lauded the invaluable contributions of the scientists from the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission and Kahuta Research Laboratories, particularly the late Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan (Pride of Pakistan), Dr. Ishfaq Ahmad, Samar Mubarakmand, and their professional teams. Under the special directives of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, their efforts at Chagai transformed Pakistan into the first Islamic and the seventh (7th) nuclear power in the world.
Mian Akram Farid further shared that he had the distinct honor, as President of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI), to meet Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan and his atomic team in Kahuta and congratulate them on their magnificent achievement.
Reflecting on recent events, he highlighted that in the past, India, underestimating Pakistan’s strength, would launch attacks under the cover of darkness. However, under the beloved Commander-in-Chief of our armed forces, Field Marshal Hafiz Syed Asim Munir, “Operation Bunyan-e-Marsoos” was launched in the clear light of dawn, right after Fajr prayers. This operation not only delivered a resounding response to the Indian forces but also exposed the poor performance of their Rafale jets and the Indian military to the entire world.
Today, Alhamdulillah, we are celebrating the joys of two significant days: Youm-e-Takbeer, when we conducted the nuclear tests, and Youm-e-Tashakkur (Day of Gratitude), when India’s aggression was decisively countered through ‘Operation Bunyan-e-Marsoos’,” Mian Akram Farid concluded.
