WNAM REPORT: The newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Türkiye, Ilhom Khaydarov, met with the Secretary General of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY), Sultan Raev, in Ankara.
The Secretary General highly praised Uzbekistan’s contribution to the cultural and historical heritage of the Turkic civilization, noting that in recent years, thanks to the open and active foreign policy pursued under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the country’s cooperation within TURKSOY has reached a new level.
Ilhom Khaydarov emphasized the special role and importance of TURKSOY in strengthening friendly relations among Turkic peoples who share a common history, language, religion, customs, traditions, aspirations, and dreams.
At the meeting, it was noted that the conferences held by TURKSOY, in addition to supporting and developing culture and art, also contribute to strengthening friendship and brotherhood between our nations.
