Baku: “Azerbaijan has fully restored its territorial integrity, and for the first time presidential election will be held across the entire internationally recognized territory of our country,” said Chairman of the Central Election Commission Mazahir Panahov as he addressed the round-table on “Ensuring citizens’ right to vote”.
The CEC chairman emphasized that citizens who have reached the age of 18 will cast their votes at polling stations to be established in Karabakh and East Zangazur. He noted that individuals engaged in construction work and serving in military units have already been registered in those areas.
“Media outlets should actively engage in the election process in the liberated territories. This is also enshrined in the Election Code,” Mazahir Panahov added.
