BAKU ( WNAM MONITORING): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan congratulated Azerbaijan on September 20 — State Sovereignty Day.
This was stated in a post by Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry on its X page.
“Heartiest felicitations to the Government and people of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the occasion of their State Sovereignty Day!” the post reads.
According to a decree by President Ilham Aliyev dated September 19, 2024, September 20 is celebrated in Azerbaijan as State Sovereignty Day. This date was established to commemorate the full restoration of Azerbaijan’s sovereignty throughout the country following the local counterterrorism measures conducted on September 19–20, 2023.
