Shakeel Arshad was a very good broadcaster. He joined the great majority the other day after serving in Radio Pakistan Peshawar for about half a century which is a fairly long time. Nature had blessed him with a sonorous voice which was pleasing to the ears of radio listeners. What a pity that he lived from hand to mouth.
It is the bounden duty of his employers to arrange at least that much monthly financial aid which could ensure bread and butter for his next of kin and dependents.

It seems that friendship of Trump and Modi has fallen on bad days. The American President is deeply offended over the disclosure that India has been selling some military hardware to Russia also which is being used by Moscow against Ukraine whose President is the blue eyed boy of Trump.
There are areas galore in the country which need reforms while some can wait a whit, some of them require urgent attention of powers that be like population explosion. Had Family planning program launched by Ayub Khan half a century back not fallen victim to propaganda Pakistan like China would have controlled the grown and growing population long ago. Ban on use and display of prohibited bore weaponry, enforcement of stringent road traffic system are, however, sine qua non as the present non enforcement of law in these areas is proving disastrous for humanity.
