Tashkent ( WNAM MONITORING ): The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received U.S. Special Envoy for Global Partnerships Paolo Zampolli, who arrived in Uzbekistan on a working visit.

The senior representative of the U.S. Administration conveyed to the President of Uzbekistan the sincere greetings and warm congratulations of President Donald Trump on the occasion of Uzbekistan’s Independence Day.

The meeting focused on concrete discussions regarding the expansion of strategic partnership and multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United States.

The continuation of productive contacts at various levels was noted with satisfaction. A constructive political dialogue is developing, and active interparliamentary exchanges are taking place. Last month, events dedicated to Uzbekistan Day were held in the U.S. Congress, while this autumn, the inaugural session of the Expanded Strategic Partnership Dialogue is scheduled to take place.

Practical cooperation has also been established in the areas of security, counterterrorism, combating extremism, and addressing illegal migration.

The United States remains a key economic partner of Uzbekistan. In 2024, bilateral trade turnover increased by 15 percent, with the project portfolio now exceeding $11 billion.

The Tashkent Investment Forum, held in June of this year, brought together representatives of more than 100 leading American companies.

The discussions highlighted the significant potential for advancing joint projects in mineral resources, aviation, electrical engineering, agriculture, digital technologies, finance, innovation, education, and other priority areas.

The importance of deepening regional cooperation within the C5+1 format was also emphasized.

In addition, the schedule of upcoming contacts and joint events was reviewed.
