ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT ): President of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), Sardar Tahir Mahmood, has said that the real estate and construction sectors play a vital role in the stability and progress of the national economy. These sectors not only generate thousands of employment opportunities but also contribute significantly to investment, business activities, and government revenues. He added that if the government extends more facilitation and policy support to these sectors, they can serve as a strong engine for economic growth.
He expressed these views while addressing the inauguration ceremony of a private construction project in Khaira Gali. The ceremony was attended by ICCI Senior Vice President Tahir Ayub, Vice President Chaudhry Muhammad Irfan, President of All Pakistan Anjuman-e-Tajiran Ajmal Baloch, project co-owners and former ICCI President Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari and Secretary of Anjuman-e-Tajiran Aabpara Market Akhtar Abbasi, Secretary General of UBG and ICCI Council Member Zafar Bakhtawari, ICCI Council Member Mian Shaukat Masood, and several other prominent members of the business community.
Sardar Tahir Mahmood said that the project initiated by Ahsan Bakhtawari and Akhtar Abbasi is not only a milestone in the business sector but also a valuable addition to the scenic region of Galiyat. He emphasized that if real estate ventures are pursued with honesty and transparency, they can become an outstanding example of social service.
Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari said that this project is being developed to stand apart from other residential projects, offering residents a world-class living experience. He shared that after successfully organizing a tourism summit in Skardu, he had planned to initiate a project there, but on the advice of Akhtar Abbasi, they decided to develop it in Murree or Galiyat, which proved to be an excellent choice. He added that the project aims to provide visiting families and tourists with a complete opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty and pleasant climate of the area. Each apartment, he noted, will feature a private terrace.
Bakhtawari further said that private construction projects contribute significantly to the beautification of cities, improvement of urban facilities, and promotion of public welfare. He expressed confidence that this project, owing to its construction quality, prime location, and modern lifestyle, would become a hallmark of the region.
Ajmal Baloch remarked that this project reflects not just a business venture but also a spirit of service, adding beauty to an already beautiful region.
Akhtar Abbasi stated that their project reached this level of progress in just six months, showcasing their determination, teamwork, and vision. The target, he said, is to complete the project within two years, aiming to provide a modern and international-standard lifestyle. He also offered the main hall of the project to ICCI and all trade organizations for holding meetings to strengthen mutual relations among the business community.
Hasnain Abbasi, son of Akhtar Abbasi, gave a detailed presentation on the project, saying:
In just six months, I have learned from Ahsan Bakhtawari what others might not learn in twenty years. His mentorship has taught me the importance of professional discipline and construction quality.
