Jakarta ( WNAM MONITORING): Statistics Indonesia (BPS) reported that foreign tourist arrivals to Indonesia reached 1.2 million visits in November 2025.
“The number of foreign tourist arrivals to Indonesia reached 1.2 million visits in November 2025,” said Deputy for Distribution and Service Statistics at BPS Pudji Ismartini in Jakarta on Monday.
The number of foreign tourist arrivals to Indonesia fell 11.12 percent month on month in November 2025, but rose 9.79 percent compared with November 2024, according to Statistics Indonesia (BPS).
Total foreign arrivals in November 2025 stood at 1.2 million visits. Cumulatively, foreign tourist arrivals from January to November 2025 reached 13.98 million visits, an increase of 10.44 percent compared with the same period last year.
By point of entry, 1.02 million visits in November 2025 were recorded at main entry points, while 181,670 visits came through border crossings.
Arrivals through main entry points were dominated by air transport, accounting for 79.19 percent of visits, while sea and land transport contributed 17.06 percent and 3.75 percent, respectively.
Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali and Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Banten were the two main air gateways with the highest number of foreign arrivals in November 2025. Together, they accounted for 88.97 percent, or 716,840 visits.
On a year-on-year basis, foreign arrivals increased across most nationality groups. Visitors from Asia outside ASEAN recorded the highest growth at 16.39 percent, followed by arrivals from Africa at 15.83 percent and the Middle East at 14.99 percent. In contrast, arrivals from Europe declined by 3.63 percent.
Month on month, foreign arrivals declined across nearly all nationality groups. European visitors saw the steepest drop at 29.43 percent, followed by arrivals from Africa at 18.50 percent. The Middle East was the only region to record an increase, rising 23.42 percent.
By nationality, foreign tourist arrivals in November 2025 were dominated by visitors from Malaysia with 207,040 visits (17.27 percent), followed by Australia with 135,220 visits (11.28 percent), Singapore with 126,250 visits (10.53 percent), and China with 105,510 visits (8.80 percent).
