The recent decision of Washington to ban immigrant visa of 75 countries including Pakistan means that the US is tightening the screws on all types of visitors to its homeland. Hitherto America has been considered as a land of opportunities, a nation of nations where people from every nook and corner of the world flocked in multitude in quest of bread and butter. This liberal entry into its homeland, however, was misused by many countries which sponsored terrorism by sending terrorists for committing violence inside it in order to settle scores with it which ultimately forced the White House to enforce new homeland security system after the nine eleven episode thus making it difficult for all and sundry to enter it at ease.

In one of its recent issues it was all praise for manufacturing of JF- 17 thunder air craft by the aeronautical branch of the PAF saying that this plane has attracted the attention of many countries of the world who have started placing orders with the PAF for buying it for their Air forces.
The PAF Aeronautical engineers certainly deserve hosannas for this great achievement. Gone are the days when the PAF had to perforce look to the suppliers of fighter aircraft for their spare parts in times of need . With the manufacturing of JF-17 thunder the PAF is now self reliant in the matter of its spare parts too.
It is a good omen that Turkey has shown its willingness to join the defence pact of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. This part of the world will rid itself of all types of foreign intervention if Afghanistan and Iran too decide to be a part of it.
