ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT): Engineer Usman Nawaz Basra, Official Coordinator of the Islamabad Estate Agents Association and Chairman of the Youth Committee, ICCI, stated that the real estate sector has the full potential to revive the national economy. He said that this sector is not only an effective means of promoting investment but also activates dozens of allied industries.

He added that frequent policy changes related to valuation and fees, along with high taxes and overall uncertainty, are discouraging investors, which in turn is negatively impacting the economy. He emphasized that by promoting the real estate sector, not only can the tax net be expanded, but increased circulation of capital in the economy can also help address issues such as inflation and unemployment.
He further demanded that the government grant industry status to the real estate sector, introduce easy financing, ensure a transparent regulatory framework, and announce long-term policies so that this sector can play an effective role in the recovery of the national economy.
