RAWALPINDI ( WNAM REPORT ): A high-level delegation from the All Steel and Iron Traders Association Rawalpindi held a strategic meeting with the leadership of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) to discuss initiatives aimed at bolstering trade and addressing the challenges faced by the local business community.
The delegation was led by Mian Akram Farid, Patron of the All Iron and Steel Traders Association Rawalpindi. The delegation included Vice Chairman Malik Afzal, along with senior members Tariq Waheed Butt, Muhammad Yaqoob, Mian Fayyaz, Mian Irfan, Imran Sunny, and other members of the Executive Committee.
The delegation was warmly received by RCCI Group Leader Sohail Altaf, Acting President Fahad Barlas, Tariq Jadoon (Vice President, FPCCI), and former presidents Saboor Malik, Syed Asad Mashadi, Saqib Rafiq, and other executive members.
RCCI Group Leader Sohail Altaf welcomed the delegation, highlighting the significant role of the association in the region’s economy.

We not only value their opinion but deeply respect their invaluable services,” said Sohail Altaf. “The Chamber is committed to raising its voice at every forum to resolve their issues and will continue to work tirelessly on their behalf.”
Altaf also expressed gratitude for the Association’s efforts in registering new members and specifically lauded Mian Akram Farid’s long-standing dedication to the Rawalpindi business community, noting his family’s legacy as pioneers in the local trade sector.
During the session, Mian Akram Farid highlighted the association’s longstanding history and active involvement in Rawalpindi’s economic landscape. Discussions focused on exploring opportunities to expand the iron and steel sector, enhancing the ease of doing business, and strengthening the operational framework for local traders.
Mian Akram Farid fondly remembered the late Mian Parvez Aslam, former President of the Chamber and a renowned business figure, whose tireless efforts helped the Rawalpindi Chamber achieve its prominent status. He assured that all senior officials and members of the All Steel and Iron Traders Association stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the Rawalpindi Chamber in resolving business-related issues.
Vice Chairman Malik Afzal noted the active participation of association members in the Chamber’s recent membership campaign and formally submitted new membership forms to the Chamber leadership. Senior member Tariq Waheed Butt thanked the RCCI leadership for their warm reception.
The meeting concluded with a mutual commitment to strengthening the partnership between the Association and the Chamber to foster economic development in Rawalpindi. To symbolize this enduring partnership, Mian Akram Farid presented the Association’s special insignia to Group Leader Sohail Altaf, while Sohail Altaf presented the Rawalpindi Chamber shield to Mian Akram Farid.
