Iran is our next door neighbour and Saudi Arabia has proved itself to be our almoner in our difficult days  many times over. Both of them are once again at daggers drawn in their old sectarian animosity. Pakistan cannot afford to annoy any one of them by taking any false step which is detrimental to them so for  our Foreign office it is tight rope walking these days.

POST SCRIPT

The business community of many  countries of the world which are facing energy crises like us start their daily chores with the first light of the sun in the morning and then shut it down before sunset and thus save a lot of electricity. On the contrary in this country the markets do not open before mid day and then they remain open well past midnight during which a lot of electricity is consumed . It is a pity that despite repeated requests of the civil administration to the leaders of the business community to start early in the morning and close down their businesses before sunset the traders have been turning a deaf ear to it.
