It was Hitler’s Information minister Dr. Goebbels who developed propaganda as an art. He used to tell his radio broadcasters to lie so much to such a great extent that radio listeners start believing that whatever they were saying was nothing but truth. German radio used to tell daily the Germans in the Second World War that German forces are beating the hell out of the allied forces on every war front. The Germans were shocked when one morning they saw the allied forces entering Berlin and Hitler committing suicide. It is rightly said that the first causality of any war is the truth.
In the ongoing war between the US and Iran nothing can be said with certainty as to who stands where? Who is winning? The truth will dawn only when the dust settles down in due course of time.
Propaganda today has become an art and with so many private TV channels operating in the electronic media with each of them giving its own version of the ear it becomes well-nigh impossible to separate the wheat from the chaff.
Meanwhile all eyes are fixed on Pakistan’ s efforts to hammer out a solution for effecting a ceasefire between Washington and Tehran. It would add a feather to the cap of Pakistan’s Foreign office if it succeeds in disengaging the warring parties and restoring peace in the process.

There is one thing in common between the Taliban of Afghanistan and BJP of India. Both believe in religious fanaticism though in their own way and beliefs and both of them have made life hell for their people. India in cahoots with Afghanistan is also trying to foment trouble in Pakistan.
