Reduction in POL Prices: RCCI Appreciates Government’s Relief Measures

RAWALPINDI( WNAM REPORT): The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) has welcomed the government’s decision to reduce petroleum prices, terming it a timely and much-needed relief for the business community and the general public.
RCCI President Usman Shaukat lauded the announcement by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif regarding the significant reduction in petrol and high-speed diesel prices, following the decline in international oil markets.
He stated that the decision reflects the government’s commitment to passing on the benefits of falling global fuel prices to consumers. “This reduction will help lower transportation and production costs, providing relief to industries, traders, and ultimately the common man,” he added.
The RCCI President also appreciated Pakistan’s constructive diplomatic role in advocating for a temporary ceasefire between Iran and the United States, noting that regional stability has positively contributed to easing global oil prices.
Usman Shaukat emphasized that reduced fuel costs will have a cascading impact on the economy, particularly benefiting the agriculture and logistics sectors, and may help in controlling inflationary pressures.
He further urged the government to continue such pro-business and public-friendly policies to support economic growth, improve competitiveness, and facilitate ease of doing business in the country.
