ISA, IRS Host Webinar: “Narrative of Truth: Media’s Role in Building National Resolve”

ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT): The Information Service Academy (ISA), in collaboration with the Institute of Regional Studies (IRS), Islamabad, organized a webinar titled “Narrative of Truth: Media’s Role in Building National Resolve” to commemorate Marka-e-Haq and highlight the critical role of media in shaping informed public discourse, promoting national unity, and strengthening collective resolve.

The webinar brought together officers of the 43rd Specialized Training Program along with distinguished panelists Maj Gen. Saad Khattak, Mr. Qamar Cheema, General Shahid Mahmood Kiyani  and Ambassador Jauhar Saleem. The panelists shared insightful perspectives on the importance of truthful narration, responsible journalism, strategic communication, and the media’s contribution to national cohesion in the face of contemporary challenges.

Speakers emphasized that in today’s rapidly evolving information environment, media carries a profound responsibility to uphold accuracy, balance, and integrity while also reinforcing confidence, resilience, and unity among citizens. The discussion underscored the need for constructive narratives that support national interests and foster a shared sense of purpose.

The session concluded with remarks by Ms. Samina Farzin, Executive Director General, who appreciated the thoughtful contributions of the panelists and participants. She reiterated the importance of such dialogues in building awareness, strengthening institutional understanding, and promoting a narrative rooted in truth, responsibility, and national commitment.

The webinar reflected ISA’s ongoing efforts to engage future public servants and stakeholders in meaningful conversations on issues of national importance and to encourage responsible communication in support of Pakistan’s progress and unity.
