Hamdard Foundation Pakistan organized a monthly meeting of Hamdard Shura at Hamdard Markaz Rawalpindi on the topic “Pre-Budget 2026. Economic Challenges and Possible Solutions”. In her message, National President Hamdard Shura Sadia Rashid said that for the economic improvement of the country in the upcoming budget 2026-27, it is necessary to prioritize agricultural reforms, industrial development, increase in exports and encouragement of small and medium enterprises. The tax net should be made transparent and wide so that all classes are included in the tax net in a fair manner. Inflation should be controlled and an effective economic policy should be formulated to reduce unnecessary expenses and the burden of inflation on the public.

Other members of the Shura included Naeem Akram Qureshi, Hakeem Bashir Bhairavi, Naseem Sahar, Dr. Farhat Abbas, Salma Qasir, Iqbal Nasiri, Engineer Muzaffar Iqbal and Dr. Mahmud-ur-Rehman. These members also emphasized that instead of increasing taxes further, tax evasion should be stopped and a budget should be given in which the public will be provided with relief. The members suggested that the monthly salary of a worker should be at least Rs 50,000. Speaker Hamdard Shura Imtiaz Haider, while presiding over the meeting, said that Pakistan is standing at a crossroads where its economy needs not just temporary support but a long-term, independent, productive and people-friendly economic strategy. The great strength of Pakistan is its youth. If we provide education, skills and opportunities to the youth, these youth can become the architects of the economy.

Hakeem Muhammad Saeed Shaheed always stressed on boycotting imported goods and using Pakistani products. His slogan was “Be like Japan”. Pakistan is not deprived of resources. We only need correct priorities, transparent governance, effective policy-making and a long-term economic vision. If the upcoming budget is based on public welfare, industrial development, agricultural revival, youth skills and transparent economic reforms, then surely Pakistan can travel towards a strong, stable and prosperous economy. At the end of the meeting, prayers were offered for the development and prosperity of Pakistan.
