The address of President Trump to his nation on 250th anniversary of US the other day, was at best, an exercise in self-praise and at worst a tirade against communism. It seems as if he is suffering from China phobia.
Had communism been as bad as Trump would like the Americans in particular and the world in general believe, it would not have spread far and wide in almost all continents of the world. It goes without saying that Karl Marx’s panacea for amelioration of the lot of economically down trodden people has stood the test of time. China is a living example of it. The American establishment is highly jealous of emergence of a super power like China in the communist bloc which is more popular than the erstwhile Soviet Union and this fact is giving many sleepless nights to American policy makers. Not only has Beijing made big strides in the financial markets of the world it has taken a giant leap forward militarily to boot. The political acumen and farsightedness of its leadership has upstaged America in every field of life.
