ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT ): Niftysphere Institute of Arts and Design was honored to welcome H.E. Ms. Maja Ferrous Mortensen, Ambassador of Denmark to Pakistan, for an exclusive visit to witness the creativity of its students at Fashion Show Season 5 – “Cultural Colors.”During her visit, Ambassador Mortensen appreciated the outstanding talent, creativity, and dedication displayed by Niftysphere students as they presented collections inspired by Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage and global wildlife themes.

This year’s showcase drew inspiration from two powerful narratives:

Rang-e-Balochistan: A vibrant tribute to the colors, textures, and traditions of Balochistan’s heritage

Animal Kingdom: Artistic fashion interpretations of the national birds and national animals of various European countries, reimagined through contemporary and sustainable design

The collections highlighted how traditional motifs can be fused with modern silhouettes to tell cross-cultural stories on the runway.Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Maja Ferrous Mortensen commended the students for their innovative vision.
“It is inspiring to see young Pakistani designers using fashion as a medium to celebrate both local heritage and international connections. The way Balochistan’s culture and European wildlife were interpreted through design shows remarkable creativity and global awareness,” she said. The visit underscores Niftysphere Institute’s commitment to positioning Pakistani students on international platforms and fostering cultural dialogue through art and design. By linking Rang-e-Balochistan with European natural symbols, “Cultural Colors” Season 5 aimed to promote mutual appreciation and creative collaboration between Pakistan and the world. The event marks another milestone in Niftysphere’s mission to nurture the next generation of designers who can represent Pakistan’s identity while engaging with global artistic trends.
