WNAM REPORT: A six-party meeting of the heads of railway administrations of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Türkiye on the development of the international multimodal route CASCA+ was held in Batumi, Georgia, the press service reported.
The Turkmen delegation was headed by Deputy General Director of JSC “Demiryollary” S. Nurberdiyev.
The meeting discussed issues of expanding international cooperation between logistics structures, activating the CASCA+ transport corridor and exchanging experience in road, sea, rail and air transport.
Participants stressed the importance of cooperation in the field of railway transport and logistics for positive integration processes and sustainable development.
Following the meeting, a Protocol was signed aimed at further developing the route and strengthening cooperation.
The participants also visited the new multimodal container terminal in Poti.
