WNAM MONITORING: With its ancient monuments and national traditions, Bukhara has always been at the center of the attention of the world’s people. The number of tourists wishing to visit the historic city has recently increased.
In January-September this year, 1 million 118 thousand tourists visited the region, and the export of tourist services amounted to $279.1 million. The number of foreign tourists increased by 16.8 percent compared to last year.
During this period, 3.1 million residents of different regions of Uzbekistan visited Bukhara as tourists, an increase of 15.9 percent compared to the same period last year.
By the end of the year, the region plans to attract 3.5 million local and 1.5 million foreign tourists and increase the export of tourist services to $410 million.
