WNAM MONITORING: President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Resolution during a regular Cabinet of Ministers meeting on Friday, authorizing the State Committee for the Construction of the City of Arkadag under the President of Turkmenistan to conclude contracts with local construction companies, as reported by the official media of Turkmenistan.
The Resolution aims to implement the objectives outlined in the National Program for the Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan for 2022–2052, as well as the Development Concept of the City of Arkadag for the period 2024–2052. The main goal is to enhance the architectural appearance of the new city and develop its infrastructure.
According to the document, the State Committee for the Construction of the City of Arkadag is authorized to enter into agreements with local construction companies for the design and construction of relevant engineering and communication systems and facilities, as well as the landscaping of adjacent areas.
Construction work is scheduled to begin in January 2025, with completion set for January 2027, including the commissioning of gas and electricity supply systems.
During the meeting, a number of other state issues were also discussed, and appropriate decisions were made.
