WNAM MONITORING: The High Commissioner of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Pakistan Ms. Jane Marriott visited the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamabad.
During the meeting, the sides considered the developments in the situation in the region. They expressed common interest in stabilizing the situation and strengthening peace in Afghanistan.
Ambassador of Turkmenistan A. Movlamov spoke about the policy of Neutral Turkmenistan, which aims to stimulate economic growth and strengthen peace and security in the region and beyond. He noted the Government’s commitment to implementing infrastructure and energy projects related to Afghanistan and providing humanitarian aid to the Afghan people.
The British Ambassador J. Marriott highly appreciated the foreign policy of Turkmenistan, based on the principles of good neighborhood and mutually beneficial partnership.
