WNAM REPORT: Iran is interested in further constructive work with Turkmenistan in the fields of energy, transport, water resources and other areas. This was stated by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian at a meeting with Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reports.
“President Masoud Pezeshkian voiced Iran’s commitment to further constructive work with Turkmenistan in the fields of energy, transport, water resources and others,” the statement said.
During the meeting, Meredov conveyed to the President of Iran the best wishes from the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
In turn, Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized the noticeable intensification of Iranian-Turkmen relations and noted the importance of the telephone conversation with the National Leader of the Turkmen people that took place on February 10.
The parties noted the importance of joint events within the framework of the International Year of Peace and Trust.
