Tashkent ( WNAM MONITORING): Tashkent International Airport unveiled its new Anjir Business Lounge, offering passengers a premium space for relaxation before their flights.
The grand opening took place in the airport’s departure hall, attended by representatives from Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Transport, Uzbekistan Airports, VIP Services Group, as well as journalists and bloggers.
Located on the second floor of the terminal’s sterile zone, Anjir Business Lounge spans 427 square meters and can accommodate up to 116 passengers at a time. The lounge operates 24/7, providing guests with a comfortable environment that includes free Wi-Fi, private restrooms and showers, a diverse menu of hot and cold dishes, and a selection of desserts and beverages. Families traveling with children can also access baby-changing stations and high chairs.
Jasur Pulatov, Director of Tashkent International Airport, highlighted the importance of the new lounge in enhancing passenger experience:
“With passenger traffic steadily increasing—nearly 9 million travelers passed through our airport in 2024—the launch of Anjir Business Lounge marks another milestone in our ongoing infrastructure modernization efforts. Alongside our existing CIP Lounge and Anor Lounge, this new facility adds another layer of comfort for travelers.”
The lounge is operated by Azerbaijan’s VIP Services Group, a company renowned for its premium airport services in Baku and Ganja. The contract with Uzbekistan Airports was awarded through an open tender on the E-auksion.uz platform.
Sabir Shukyurov, CEO of VIP Services Group, emphasized the significance of the project:
“Anjir Business Lounge is our first venture outside Azerbaijan. We aimed to blend Eastern hospitality with modern technology, creating a space where travelers can enjoy a seamless and comfortable airport experience.”
Additionally, the second floor of the lounge features a branded Mastercard lounge with 45 seats, exclusively for premium cardholders from Uzbek banks.
Denis Filippov, General Manager of Mastercard Uzbekistan, noted:
“We are committed to providing exceptional services to our customers worldwide. The opening of our lounge in Tashkent is another step toward enhancing travel comfort for our clients.”
Access to Anjir Business Lounge is available for first- and business-class passengers of Turkish Airlines and Air Astana, as well as members of Priority Pass, LoungeKey, DragonPass, Every Lounge, and various airline loyalty programs.
Operating 24/7, Anjir Business Lounge offers top-tier service and comfort, ensuring a premium travel experience at every stage of the journey.
