China’s decision to extend the network of CPEC to Afghanistan is a welcome development.
Once its developmental projects come to fruition it will have a tremendous goodwill impact on all and sundry in Afghanistan, including those who move in the corridors of power there. At that point in time Kabul rulers will give their ear to Beijing which can then force them not play into the hands of India and don’t foment trouble for Pakistan through its terrorist organisations.
