Do We Really Need A New Political Party?

There is already a plethora of political parties in the country whose overall performance leave much to be desired.  It has been customary in the political culture of this country that whenever a prominent leader of any party fell foul of the top echelon of his party he called it a day in his old party and formed a new party of his own.
Musthaq Ahmad Khan who is a senior JI stalwart has jumped on their bandwagon the other day. He had been a Senator also. He has declared formation of a new political party the other day meaning thereby that he has parted ways with JI. What good will come out of his decision one doesn’t know at the moment. His departure from the JI is, however, a loss of the JI because his career in that party had been beyond reproach.  He can pride himself on the fact that he had been a member of a party which didn’t encourage dynastic politics otherwise commoners like Siraj ul Haq or Hafiz Naeem could never have made it to the top inside JI . Though one can differ from the politics of JI nobody can raise any finger on the financial integrity of its members .Experience of hindsight reveals that those who deserted from their old parties seldom reached the political status which they had in their former parties.

Many political observers are of the view that former crown prince Raza Pelawi’s appeal to the Iranians to take to the streets is more than meets the eye. The possibility that the American CIA might have an hidden hand behind it as there is no love lost between the Iranian men of the cloth and Washington.
