WNAM REPORT: As part of his working visit to Bishkek, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
The parties reviewed issues related to expanding and strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Russia.
The progress in trade and economic cooperation has been welcomed, with bilateral trade rising by 12 percent since the start of this year.
Major projects are ongoing in key sectors such as industry, energy, metallurgy, transport, and other priority areas of the economy.It was emphasized that maintaining the current positive trade momentum, speeding up industrial cooperation projects, and sustaining active interregional contacts are crucial.
Particular attention was paid to further strengthening cultural and humanitarian exchanges between the two countries.
The leaders also discussed the schedule for upcoming bilateral and multilateral events.
