Those of us who have seen the headquarters of Mohmand Rifles located at Ghallanay know that many security check posts are located on all the roads leading to it which are always fully manned by the jawans of Mohmand Rifles so it beats one’s mind that how come the terrorists managed to cross them undetected for attacking militiamen stationed in the Mohmand Rifles headquarters on Saturday.
It is a sad reflection on those militiamen who were on duty on these picquets as well as intelligence agencies who didn’t report about the entry of terrorists inside Mohmand agency well in time. This incident shouldn’t be taken lightly. The very fact that the terrorists could penetrate inside security apparatus in the presence of check picquets is a cause of serious concern.
There is no gainsaying the fact that by and large our security forces have been performing very well but there is a need to tie up some loose ends.
