Presence of a plethora of Kalashnikov weaponry in private hands is the main cause of massive killings in the country. This fatal weapon is used with rare abandon in sectarian clashes, private blood and monetary feuds. This weapon should be in the hands of army, police and para military force only. If any citizen wants to keep a weapon for his self protection he may get an armed licence from the district magistrate of the area he lives in and that’s that why should government allow a citizen to carry this lethal weapon on his person?
Unless the society gets rid of all other Prohibited bore weapons there won’t be any reduction in the incidence of mass murders in the country.
AK-47, popularly known as Kalashnikov rifle should not be in the hands of all and sundry. It should have been the preserve of the armed forces, police and para military forces only. Since this deadliest weapon is now being carried by every Tom, Dick and Harry the incidence of killing has skyrocketed in the country. The elite class of the country which fancy moving among the people with body guards duly armed with this weapon is a big obstruction in the way of any legislation aimed at banning its use by persons other than those charged with the maintenance of law and order in the country.
