The head of Church of England resigned the other day by accepting the fact that he didn’t inform the police about cases of sexual abuse of some children in his institution and he takes full responsibility for this lapse on his part Alas, such type of self accountability is sadly missing in our society and instead of accepting our lapses we tend to pass on the buck to others.
POSTSCRIPT:
Isn’t it a sad reflection on the working of our police that the Chinese government has been lately toying with the idea of providing its own security cover to the Chinese working in Pakistan on different developmental projects in various parts of this country. Beijing was forced to do so because there has been no let up in murderous attacks on the Chinese engineers engaged in this country in various developmental projects throughout the length and breadth of this country which is unfortunate to say the least.
Over one lac people in this country are likely to meet premature death due to smog. The PM was right to draw the attention of rich countries to help assist the under developed countries financially as on their own they simply cannot fight off the diseases which are affecting the people of the poor countries due to this natural calamity.
