WNAM MONITORING: The International Scientific Conference TESC 2025, dedicated to the environmental aspects of hydrocarbon resource extraction, will be held on June 5 in Ashgabat — coinciding with World Environment Day. Turkmenistan takes the initiative to host a forum aimed at becoming a key platform for exchanging expertise, showcasing the latest developments, and strengthening international partnerships in the field of sustainable energy, as reported by turkmen official media of on Tuesday.
Representatives from prominent international organizations such as the United Nations, OSCE, World Bank, EBRD, ABR, the Forum of Gas Exporting Countries, the International Energy Agency, and IRENA are invited to participate. In addition, government officials, scientists, business leaders, and environmental advocates will join forces to formulate concrete measures aimed at mitigating the environmental impact of hydrocarbon extraction.
The conference is organized by the state concerns Türkmengaz and Türkmennebit. Its theme, “Reliable, Sustainable, Clean Energy,” reflects a commitment to an environmentally responsible future.
Registration is now open. Last year’s forum brought together 250 delegates from 31 countries. Participation is free of charge, and visa support is available for international attendees. Applications can be submitted via the official TESC 2025 website.
