The decision of Afghan government to ban girls education in some religious educational institutes because they were imparting modern education to the girls also is a retrogressive step. To deprive more than half of country’s population from education is criminal. One would have thought that Taliban leaders would have learnt from their past mistakes but it seems that like the Bourbons they have learnt nothing and forgotten nothing which is unfortunate to say the least.
