WNAM REPORT: Riphah International University ( RIU) inaugurated the 6th International Students Convention & Expo (ISCE) 2026 today at its Gulberg Greens campus, with vibrant participation from students, academics, industry leaders, and international delegates from Pakistan and across the world. The four-day convention, running from May 3 to May 6, aims to provide a dynamic platform for youth engagement, academic collaboration, and global dialogue.
Chairman of the Higher Education Commission, Dr. Niaz Ahmed Akhtar, attended the inaugural ceremony as the Chief Guest.
The opening ceremony was attended by over 1,000 participants, including vice chancellors from more than 20 universities and over 250 international students.
In his welcome address, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Anis Ahmad (Sitara-e-Imtiaz) emphasized the university’s vision of value-based education, ethical leadership, and social impact. He stated, “ RIU takes pride in providing a platform where education extends beyond classrooms to encompass values, ethics, and real-life impact. ISCE 2026 reflects our commitment to promoting ethical leadership and empowering youth to become responsible global citizens.”
The ceremony was also attended by distinguished academics and members of the diplomatic community, including the Ambassador of Kazakhstan, the High Commissioner of Mauritius, and diplomats from Yemen, Malaysia, and Palestine. Their presence underscored the growing international significance of the convention as a platform for intercultural exchange and academic cooperation.
Recognized as one of Pakistan’s largest student-led academic and cultural events, ISCE 2026 features participation from over 100 universities, educational institutions, and corporate partners, with thousands of students actively engaged. The event includes more than 35 competitions, workshops, innovation and industrial pavilions, education fairs, and cultural showcases aimed at fostering creativity, collaboration, and intellectual growth among youth.
By hosting ISCE 2026, RIU has once again reinforced its position as a thought leader in Pakistan’s education sector, providing students with opportunities to develop skills, embrace innovation, and contribute to national cohesion.
The organizers expressed confidence that this year’s convention will serve as a catalyst for youth development, strengthen academic linkages, and play a key role in positioning Pakistan as a hub for international student engagement.
