Today Beijing is in the driving seat of Communist world. Thanks to the political acumen and farsightedness of Chinese leadership. China is calling the shots in world politics. Putin is not a patch on the present Chinese president and his comrades. It goes without a saying that the Soviet leaders who moved in the corridors of power in the Kremlin till the advent of Putin after Stalin had kicked the bucket were not up to the task. They lacked the political skill, acumen and in farsightedness. Small wonder many states which were once part and parcel of Soviet Russia slipped out of their hands.
A century back a lunatic like Hitler had risen on the world stage who was instrumental in the start of second world war. Today his alter ego Trump holds the key of the room in which nuclear weapons lie. If the present imbroglio between Iran and America prolongs half mad and extremist as he is Trump might plumb for use of nuclear option the very thought of which makes the shudder run down the spines of many. Today Washington needed a cool headed leader like Nelson Mandela in the White House. The men of the cloth in Tehran too shouldn’t make more enemies among the Muslim brethren countries of middle East.
