ISLAMABAD (WNAM) REPORT: A General Body meeting of the Islamabad D. Watson Lions Club was held in which outgoing office-bearers were bid farewell while newly elected office-bearers were warmly welcomed. The meeting, held recently, was attended by PDG Lion Dr. Hassan Surosh Akram, Chartered President Lion Ahsan Bakhtawari, President Islamabad D. Watson Lions Club Lion Malik Mohsin Khalid, Secretary Lion Faizan Shahzad, MC Lion Muhammad Owais Malik and other members.
During the meeting, the newly elected office-bearers were also announced, including President Lion Sadaf Asim Abbasi, Secretary Lion Shahbaz Masih, Treasurer and Director Lion Ahsan Bakhtawari, First Vice President Arham Ahsan Bakhtawari, Second Vice President Muhammad Owais Malik, LCIF Coordinator Haris Bakhtawari, Marketing Chairperson Nasir Mahmood Club, Club Service Chairperson Joharia Azhar, Club Membership Chairperson Malik Nadeem Akhtar, and Club Administrator Zafar Bakhtawari. New members Maqsood Tabish, Hammad Kazmi, Majid Shabbir, Iqbal Aanchan and Imran Rashid also attended the event.
Addressing the gathering, PDG Lion Dr. Hassan Surosh Akram said that Islamabad D. Watson Lions Club has always been a shining example of service, brotherhood and humanity. He said the new leadership should further strengthen the spirit of service and continue playing a positive role in society.
Director Lion Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari briefed the participants about the club’s activities and future plans. In his address, he stated that efforts would be made to organize more effective and positive activities for the welfare of youth and the community so that the scope of service could be further expanded. He appreciated the services of the outgoing office-bearers and expressed hope that the new team would lead the club towards greater progress and success.
Outgoing President Lion Malik Mohsin Khalid welcomed the new office-bearers and members and said that Lions Club is a great platform for the service of humanity. He expressed confidence that the new team would further promote welfare activities with the same spirit of dedication. He added that unity, sincerity and teamwork are the real strengths of the club.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Secretary Lion Faizan Shahzad presented the club dues report, while participants reaffirmed their commitment to launching more social welfare initiatives in the future.
