Margaret Thatcher was England’s Prime Minister. On her return from an official visit to Malaysia the members belonging to opposition labour party raised a pandemonium in the House of Commons asking her to explain why did she take her spouse Dennis with her on that official visit on which she replied that Dennis will himself appear before the House to lay bare the facts. Next day Dennis told House of Commons that no doubt he had gone on that foreign trip with his wife but he had paid his air fare as well as for his stay in the hotel from his own pocket. He even made payment from his pocket on the laundry bill of his clothes and he produced receipts of these payments before the House.
10 Downing Street is the official residence of England’s Prime Minister in London . Close to it is 11 Downing Street where England’s finance minister lives. When Tony Blair got elected England’s prime minister there wasn’t sufficient accommodation to house all members of his family as he had many children. Since the then Finance minister of England Gordon Brown was unmarried at that time one of the offspring of Tony Blair started living in 11 Downing Street with Brown and in this way that problem was solved. The entire furniture placed in the office of President of North Vietnam Hon chin Minh was made of bamboo wood which is the cheapest wood.
