WNAM REPORT: The Asian Development Bank has unveiled the Turkmenistan: Country Partnership Strategy (2024–2028) (“Turkmenistan: Country Partnership Strategy (2024–2028)”). As per reports, the Strategy sets out the bank’s commitments to support the transformation of Turkmenistan’s economy into a stable, climate-resilient and competitive one.
The strategy is based on 3 main principles:
1. supporting the green transformation towards a sustainable economy independent of climate change;
2. increasing the competitiveness of the economy through diversification, development of the private sector and human potential.
3. promoting structural reforms and institutional development.
ADB will implement the strategy through projects, technical assistance, and other initiatives using its unified approach that will support climate action and use a new operating model to create an enabling environment for the private sector and public-private partnerships.
