WNAM REPORT: The Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Uzbekistan Ahmed Farooq.
The parties focused on further strengthening interparliamentary ties, which are significant in deepening mutually beneficial cooperation.Special attention was paid to expanding cooperation in priority areas such as trade, economy, investment, transport, and tourism. The parties noted that implementing joint projects in these areas will strengthen economic ties and increase the volume of mutual trade.
An essential part of the meeting was the discussion of the possibilities of holding joint cultural events aimed at strengthening friendly ties between people and introducing them to their rich historical-cultural heritage.
Following the meeting, the parties expressed hope for strengthening cooperation between Uzbekistan and Pakistan and for active implementation of plans benefiting the interests of the people of the two countries.
